SideKickNick: Miscellaneous Adventures |

After countless hours of writing, rehearsing and recording this wonderful assortment of songs, each bristling with his unique pop genius, they are ready to be unveiled to the world.
Buckton's first full length album release under his pseudonym SideKickNick; Miscellaneous Adventures, is an eclectic collection of songs about; "…girls, cellular telephones, dinghy rides, eyeballs, television, eating, sleeping, boredom, frustration, getting old, death and a selection of other mundane stuff", on which Nick plays almost all of the instruments.
"Imagine a cartoon character from the Ween book, cut out and made emotionally volatile and absolutely believable, imbue him with classic sixties pop elements, traces of Pixies-like power pop and naive isolationist New Zealand music art and you might get the idea…it's the kind of thing Flying Nun should be releasing, and almost did with the last Mint Chicks album. Sheer brilliance."
