Formed in 2005, the Auckland indie rock four-piece offered a self-titled EP in 2006 and the 'Into the Fall' EP in 2007. Both were critically acclaimed, showing the band's depth and ability to transcend rock and indie to explore experimental pop avenues. Motocade have a style that fits somewhere in amongst the intensity of the Strokes, the groove of Talking Heads and early Kings Of Leon.
The band have been regulars at the Big Day Out, Home Grown and Rhythm and Vines as well as playing high profile events such as NZ Fashion Week, and the APRA Silver Scroll Awards. They're also regular faces on Music TV and have performed on popular local shows 'Top of the Pops' and 'Live At Yours'.
Road tested and with a strong NZ following, Motocade finally answer the question they've been asked for the last 5 years with their brilliant debut full-length, 'Tightrope Highway.’
